Welcome to JohnEspinosa.com — A New Chapter Begins

After years of building software behind the scenes, I'm finally stepping out to share what I've learned. This blog will cover AI tools, software architecture, and the lessons that only come from shipping real code.

    Welcome to JohnEspinosa.com

It's been a long time coming.

For years, I've been building software — designing systems, debugging production issues at 2 AM, and learning something new with every project. But I kept it all to myself. Notes in private docs, lessons learned and then forgotten, solutions that could have helped someone else.

    That changes today.

    What This Blog Is About

This site is where I'll share the things I am learning about when it comes to AI. Claude specifically:

    • AI tools in practice — not hype, not theory, but how I actually use Claude, MCP, and other AI tools in my daily workflow
    • Software architecture — clean architecture, domain-driven design, and the pragmatic tradeoffs that textbooks skip
    • Tutorials that work — step-by-step guides built from real projects, not contrived examples
    • .NET and web development — ASP.NET Core, EF Core, Razor Pages, and the ecosystem I work in every day

    Why Now?

The rise of AI tools has changed how I write code. I'm shipping faster, thinking more clearly, and solving problems I would have avoided before. It felt wrong to keep that to myself.

I also believe the best way to learn is to teach. Writing forces you to understand something deeply enough to explain it. Every post I write here makes me a better engineer.

    What's Coming Next

I'm starting with a series on Claude Code and MCP — how to set up your environment, build custom tools, and integrate AI into a real development workflow. No fluff, just practical guides you can follow along with.

After that, I'll dive into Claude deeper and give you a look into how I set up my environment and run agents at work and at home.

    Let's Connect

If any of this resonates with you, stick around. Subscribe to the newsletter to get notified when new posts drop. And if you have questions or topics you want me to cover, reach out — I'm building this for you as much as for myself.

Here's to the start of something good.
